During the hot summer there was a spiritual treat by the children of Srimaan Trust in connection with the Annual Day of Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham(SBK) and Srimaan Bhattar Gurukulam(SBG) at Srirangam South chitra street on 29th April 2012. The programme commenced with the prayer by our children followed by wonderful welcome address by Smt.Gomathy Venkat, who has got the bagyam of belonging to the Tiruvarangatamudanaar vamsam (one who has given Prapanna gaayatri "Ramanusa nootrandaadi" to us all)
Chief guest Sri.T.M Srinivasan, Correspondent, E.R High School, Trichy appreciated our ambition of imbibing spiritual values in young minds. He gave an excellent address with moral values from Sriramayana as the function also contained the prize distribution of the State Level Sriramayana Contest. He also gave away the special prizes for Sriramayana contest which included a muslim boy and 2 girls under the age limit of our contest.
Another chief guest Dr.Devanathan a famous urologist of the city expressed his immense happiness on our selfless service during his keynote address.
Our Founder Sri. U.Ve Parasara Badrinarayana Bhattar Swamy requested the public to involve their children and themselves towards our kainkaryams. “In this scientific world of chaos, Sri Ramanuja Dharshanam is the need of the hour and it must be seeded in the young minds as early as possible” is the message.
Our Annual Report read by our Senior SBK Student Sriram made a clear view of our activities to the public. There was also a power point presentation of our activities.
Our children’s performance of Thirukkolur Penpillai Rahasyam drama and Dasavatharam dance spell bounded the audience. The function went on with the recitation of prabandham starting from the tiny tots till the trainees, i.e. the various age group of our Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham Students.
Annual day function ended up with the glorious award ceremony to Srimaan Bhattar Gurukulam. students. The boys who bagged the awards are as follows:
1. Manathukkiniyaan –chi. Madhavan - One who is perfect in intelligent, emotional and spiritual quotients and thus has won everyone’s heart.
2. Velvi Vithagan – chi.Srinivas – One who excels in Agamam.
3. Palthuraivan – chi.Niranjan – One who is interested and involved in all the activities and does everything with perfection.
4. Valarum Kavignar – chi.Sriram – One who is very creative to write haikoos in thamizh.(It is very sad to note that this boy lost his father in Nepal accident recently)
5. Uzhaippukku anjaadhavan – chi.Rangarajan –one who possesses endurance for heavy physical work.
On the whole this annual day function proven our selfless service with the grace of our Divine Couple to the society once again and thus it ended with simmering bliss.
Press reporters and the public were amazed by the performances of our children which came true because of our dedicated truthful volunteers.
