The star glitters...

Srimate ramanujaya nama:

Priya arangan adiyar,

Andal Nachiyar occupies a unique position among the saints in Srivaishnava lineage on account of Her effusive love towards the divine.  She occupies a unique position among His consorts on account Her grace-born descent to uplift mortals.

Though most of Her hymns bear the semblance of an outpouring from personal experience, Her divinity renders auspicious the entire world and reforms people of all walks of life. Her mere presence is sufficient to bring devotion and spiritualize Her ambience.

Svami Nanjeeyar explains that in the town of Andal, even birds do not have any other pastime than speaking of the glories of Lord Krishna. They never sleep, even at nights, ceaselessly engaged in the experience of the divine.

The children of Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham have been graced by Andal Nachiyar to be able to gain proficiency in enacting the episode of Andal Thirukkalyanam. The effect is a charm that produces spiritual awakening in the onlookers.

The Andal Thirukkalyanam episode as enacted by Srimaan Bhattar Kuzham has gained such acclaim as to be invited for a performance in different spiritual events. Recently, the children were invited to perform at the Spiritual Fair conducted by the Hindu Spiritual and Service Foundation. Our Trust was one of the very few stalls to represent SriRamanuja darshanam @ the stall. The organizers of the HSSF were so moved seeing the past performance of Andal Thirukkalyanam that they wanted to have it as the main programme this year. Around 1000 children were witness to the dance-drama. Such events carry the message of the life and experiences of Andal, and contribute to a spiritually awakened society.

Confluence of real & abstract ....

Srimate ramanujaya namaha

Priya arangan adiyar,

A King once asked a group of artists to draw a portrait of Lord Rama. All of them came forward to undertake the task. The Kind stopped them & asked who among them can draw Raama Bhakthi. The painters had learned the art of portraying the visible. But they pondered how to portray an abstract emotion as Bhakthi? One widely read artist accepted the challenge. He completed the portrait and presented it to the King. It was the portrait of Bharatha. The artist had beautifully equated Raama Bhakthi and Bharatha.

Can you guess who the equivalent of Krishna Bhakthi is? No one who lived during Lord Krishna’s time! Though there were many love-laden devotees of Lord Krishna, the very personification of His Bhakthi took birth on the Banks of Tamiraparani in Tamil Nadu. It was the leader of the Prapannas, Sri Nammazhwar.

One who has love at the Feet of Nammazhwar is deeply loved Lord SrimanNarayana Himself.

Sri Satakopan swamy , a namesake of Swamy Nammazhwar lives at Srirangam. He has been devotedly serving Nammazhwar Sannidhi @ Srirangam for the past 10 years. Come what may, he seldom stays away from kainkaryam.

He was honoured by our Trust under the "SANNIDHI VANDANAM" scheme.
